A big mistake that traders make when they perform technical analysis on a stock is in looking for an exact pattern that a sideways consolidation period must match.
If the trader doesn’t see a pattern, they stay on the sidelines and miss a big move.
This is where the technical analysis pattern of “energy fields” come into play.
An energy field is any sideways consolidation pattern. It can be a symmetrical triangle pattern, an inverted head and shoulders pattern, or anything else. It is a catch all pattern.
