Jefferies analyst Mark Lipacis raised the firm’s price target on AMD (AMD) to $95 from $86 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares. Following Intel’s (INTC) recent announcement that its 7nm transistor would be delayed, he thinks AMD share gains will accelerate, particularly in the server market, Lipacis tells investors. He believes that the bull case for AMD, largely based on the company capturing 30% share from Intel over the next two to three years, will “morph” to a bull case of 50% market share capture in four to five years, the analyst added.
