Some people just like to sit around and hate all the time. Don’t hate on Trump’s trolling tweets, instead, make money from them. Trump’s brawling New York style of Twitter trolling is really rubbing the world wrong, and that’s a big win for us.
Trump’s tweets trolling China added to trade war tensions.
Trump trolling Russia caused a rapid escalation of the conflict in Syria. The world is increasingly becoming a dangerous place with trolling Trump right in the middle of it.
Trump’s New York style brawling and Twitter trolling is only going to add to global tensions between countries.
Demand for military hardware is increasing both at home and abroad.
I would be careful of playing Lockheed Martin. The President continues to believe that he’s overpaying for the F-35 aircraft and now has stopped accepting F-35 jets over a repair cost dispute. I’m sure this will eventually get worked out so it’s worth stalking LMT for now.
My favorite military stock is Raytheon (RTN). Raytheon has 64,000 employees and did sales of $25 billion in 2017.
Raytheon has a killer business model of making money on both sides by supplying missiles, and then providing a defense system that can shoot those missiles down, Cha-Ching!
Also, when Russia showcased its latest missiles at the end of March, it prompted several countries to look at missile defense systems, like Poland.
Poland recently announced that it is spending $4.75 billion on Raytheon’s Patriot missile defense system. Russia’s anger at the U.S. for economic sanctions, and for what happened in Ukraine, is putting a target on U.S. allies in the region like Poland.
The more Russia brags about its new missile capabilities, the more demand will be for Raytheon’s missile defense systems.
Raytheon is expanding its product line too.
Raytheon has been in the Aerospace portfolio since March 21, 2018.
Disclosure: I am long Raytheon stock.
