Lynx analysts KC Rajkumar and Jahanara Nissar said the recent acquisition of game studio Bethesda by Microsoft (MSFT) is “a game-changer” and a positive for AMD’s (AMD) console business given how it sets up Microsoft “as a major player in the game market with a clearer roadmap.” The Lynx analysts, who remind investors that they stated in a note two weeks ago that they had raised their expectations for AMD’s market cap to $110B, would be buyers of AMD at current levels.

Susquehanna analyst Christopher Rolland said AMD continues to gain market share in PC’s as it is helped by WFH trends and strong PC demand throughout Q3. he also noted industry strength in notebooks and and laptops as the expected second half slowdown has yet to materialize. He said AMD now holds a roughly 20% share in desktops and a roughly 20% share in laptops. Rolland reiterated his Positive rating and $85 price target on AMD shares.
