Market Order

A market order is an order to buy or sell a stock as fast as possible at the current available price. This type of order is used when the buyer or seller wants their order executed immediately at the current price. Because speed is the primary consideration, the price at which a market order will be executed is not guaranteed. For a guaranteed price, see stop limit, buy limit, and stop loss orders.
