On September 3, 2021, Stifel analyst Scott Devitt raised the firm’s price target on JD.com to $90 from $85 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares after the company agreed to acquire a controlling stake of China Logistics Property for roughly $513M. The analyst views the acquisition as strengthening the company’s logistics business and long-term growth runaway. Devitt said the new price target reflects his increased comfort in JD.com’s competitive position in this new regulatory environment.

On September 3, 2021, Reuters reported that JD.com’s real estate unit has made a $513.45M offer to acquire a controlling stake in storage facilities manager China Logistics Property Holdings. JD Property Group offered to buy a 26.38% stake in China Logistics for HK$4.35 per share from its top shareholder, Yupei International Investment Management. The offer would bring JD.com’s stake in China Logistics to about 35.8%, making it mandatory under the Hong Kong takeover code for JD.com to make a general offer for the whole company. Missfresh’s sales on JD.com’s platforms up by 389% since April
Onn August 25, 2021, Missfresh (MF) reported a 389% increase in its sales on JD.com (JD) and JD-Daojia since commencing its collaboration with JDDJ in April this year. Currently, approximately 570 of Missfresh’s Distributed Mini Warehouses sell on JDDJ, in 17 cities. In April this year, Missfresh began to sell goods on JDDJ, JD.com’s affiliate platform, through the “Omnichannel Fulfillment Program”. This enables consumers to order from Missfresh’s nearby warehouses through JDDJ’s app. The products offered include fruits, vegetables, seafood, grains, ready-to-cook meals, and more.
