There is a lot more the White House staff could have done. They had a system in place where basically they were relying on testing alone to keep the President safe because they weren’t taking adequate steps inside the White House compound.”
I agree with Mr. Gottlieb’s assessment. This is the President of the United States and he needs to be protected at all costs. It would not surprise me to learn that the White House will implement new standards to protect the President.
The fact that the coronavirus has taken down the President is a big negative shock to the psychology of the country and is already creating panic in many areas of the country. Should the President die from the coronavirus, it would hurl the entire country into chaos as the succession of power scenarios play out.
