Tarena International Beats On Earnings and Revenue

March 7, 2016: Tarena International reports Q4 2015 EPS of $0.25 year over year versus the $0.13 estimate. Revenue also beat coming in at $60 million year over year versus the $39.7 million estimate. Total student enrollments were up an incredible +36.8% year over year to 23.5K

The CEO says, “2015 marked our second fiscal year as a public company and we again finished it on a strong note. Our net revenues for the fourth quarter and for the year grew by 51% and 39%, respectively, supported by robust growth in student enrollment, continued business expansion into new verticals as well as strengthened brand recognition nationwide.”

February 21, 2016: Credit Suisse raised Tarena International to an Outperform rating, from Neutral, and set a price target of $11.50. Credit Suisse analysts cited positive development in risk control and marketing efficiency.

Tarena International, Inc. primarily provides information technology (IT) professional education services through part-time and full-time classes in the People’s Republic of China. The Company is the largest provider of IT professional education services in China with a market share of 8.3% as measured by revenues in 2013 according to IDC, a third-party research firm.
