Coupa Software Inc Stock Exploding Higher

May 26, 2017: Coupa Software Inc stock started ripping higher at the end of March and early April on the news of a series of big deals. The stock is up about 30% since profiled on GuerillaStockTrading.com back in January. I flipped this stock on day one of the IPO for quick profits because I felt it was undervalued at the IPO price.

May 17, 2017: Coupa Software inc acquires substantially all of the assets of Riskopy. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. The purchase of Riskopy gives Coupa some serious upgrading in its business intelligence unit.

April 18, 2017: Coupa Software announces that Gulf International Bank has selected Coupa’s Purchase to Pay and Expense Management solution; terms not disclosed.

March 13, 2017: Coupa Software Inc reports Q4 EPS of -$0.05 versus the $-0.17 estimate. Revenue also beat coming in at $38.02 million versus the $35.87 million estimate.

Company said, “We closed a successful fiscal 2017 by achieving strong results across the board in Q4…Our unified platform has now processed more than $360 billion in cumulative spend, driving cost savings and increasing profitability for our customers. We made significant advancements in our technology with the release of R17 and acquisition of Spend360, and added marquee customers including Caterpillar, Paul HARTMANN, and many others. With continued strength in North America and Europe and increasing traction in Asia Pacific and Latin America, we are well positioned as we enter the new fiscal year.”

March 27, 2017: Coupa Software announced today that Pearson, the world’s learning company, has selected Coupa’s Source to Pay (S2P) solution to operationalize contracts, enhance user experience and provide greater transparency.

March 22, 2017: Oil and Gas powerhouse KMG Rompetrol selected Coupa Software to automate its procurement processes and increase efficiency across its operations.

January 29, 2017: Coupa Software’s stock has had a rising money flow since January 10, 2017, when the company announced that it had acquired Spend360 to modernize processes for data analysis. Terms of the acquisition were undisclosed.

On January 10, 2017, Coupa Software announced that it had acquired substantially all of the assets of Spend360 International Ltd. to help companies digitize antiquated processes for data classification. Based outside London, Spend360 is an analytics solution that uses deep machine learning and artificial intelligence to structure and cleanse data in a format that finance and procurement can actually use.

Coupa expects the capabilities from Spend360 to be made available to select Coupa customers later this year. As part of the acquisition, the Spend360 team has joined Coupa to continue developing forward-thinking approaches for data classification and predictive insights. This team will be instrumental in helping Coupa drive even more value for its customers. The transaction closed at the end of December 2016 and financial terms were not disclosed. Coupa is not updating its guidance for its fourth quarter or fiscal year ending January 31, 2017, which it provided on December 5, 2016. The acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on Coupas results of operations or financial condition for its fourth quarter or fiscal year ending January 31, 2017.
