TRC Companies announced that it has entered into a definitive merger agreement with affiliates of New Mountain Partners IV, L.P., an investment fund managed by New Mountain Capital, LLC, a leading growth-oriented investment firm headquartered in New York, under which New Mountain will acquire TRC in an all cash transaction valued at $17.55 per share of common stock.

January 17, 2017: TRC Companies acquired the contract to serve as Program Administrator of New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program (NJCEP), which has provided more than $300 million annually in support to homeowners, businesses and government entities upgrading to high-efficiency and renewable energy technology.

All the staff who have been working for the prior NJCEP Administrator, Ameresco Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary, Applied Energy Group Inc. (AEG), will be joining TRC. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

TRC and AEG anticipate the transition will be seamless, with the same team continuing in its existing role without interruption. TRC’s Energy Efficiency practice is a growing, national leader in the design and implementation of state energy efficiency programs and provides services similar to the administration of NJCEP in several other states.

NV5 Awarded $5.4 Million By Broward County

June 14, 2016: NV5 Holdings Inc was awarded $5.4 million in CQA Contracts for Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. NV5 Global was awarded by Broward County two contracts for an initial term of five years to provide Quality Assurance Materials Testing services at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) for $5.4 million. NV5 has already provided construction quality assurance for two large projects at FLL: the construction of the new South Runway and the expansion of Terminal 4, which is the international passenger terminal. Under the two additional contracts, the Company will perform various construction quality assurance testing and inspections for capital improvements projects at FLL.

May 04, 2016: NV5 Holdings Inc wins $5 million in new contracts. NV5 Global has received approximately $5 million in new fees from two longtime Infrastructure clients in the West. In the City of Manteca, CA, NV5 will be providing design and construction management services for Phase I of the Family Entertainment Zone Center, a new $25 million construction project in the Central Valley city that will include a hotel, convention center, water park, and several sports fields. And in Colorado Springs, CO, NV5 will continue to provide Capital Program Management services, including construction oversight services, to the City, which has been a client since 2005.

February 22, 2016: NV5 Global Inc announced today that it has been selected to provide on-call professional engineering services, including civil and structural engineering and surveying services, to Verizon for $3 million. The two-year contract was won by the Manhattan infrastructure design and engineering team at The RBA Group.

February 02, 2016: NV5 Global has acquired Sebesta, Inc., a St. Paul, Minnesota-based mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering and energy management company with annualized revenues of $35 million. Primary clients include federal and state governments, power and utility companies, and major educational, healthcare, industrial and commercial property owners throughout the United States. Sebesta’s staff numbers 175 and operates from 12 offices in the Midwest, Texas, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The acquisition was made entirely in cash from internal sources without using debt and will be immediately accretive to NV5’s earnings.

January 24, 2016: NV5 Global was awarded project and construction management services contract for California’s High-Speed Rail Program. NV5 will be providing construction management oversight and third party coordination services in addition to surveying, materials testing, and public outreach support services. To navigate the highly competitive bid process that preceded this contract win, NV5 entered a teaming agreement with HNTB Corporation as a sub consultant to share work at a 60/40 split. NV5 anticipates fees after the split and after small business sub-consultant requirements to be between $7 and $8 million.

January 14, 2016: NV5 Global receives $1.1 million in fees for Angier Elementary School and wins contracts for two additional Massachusetts schools. NV5 Global recently completed Owners Project Management (OPM) services for the 74,340 GSF, 600 student, K-5 Angier Elementary School in Newton, MA with a construction cost of $27.5 million. The project included demolition of the existing school, unsuitable soils remediation, and construction of a 40 foot high retaining wall against an existing active trolley line prior to the start of new construction, all within a densely populated urban area. NV5 has been selected for two more schools in Newton, MA. The Zervas Elementary School recently began construction in January 2016 and will be completed in fall 2017 and the Cabot Elementary School is in the schematic design stage of the project.
